2011-2012 Program of Study “How to” Guide
- Choose a Program of Study (POS), then download and save the Excel workbook containing the postsecondary POS of your choice.
- The first document that will open is labeled PS Semesters, the completed postsecondary pathway.
- A second document, accessed by selecting the tab labeled Secondary, is the secondary POS template.
- A third document, accessed by selecting the tab labeled Assurance Page, is the assurance page that requires signatures. On the signature line, “Printed Name of College President (or indicate if designee)”, please enter the following: Peter Ross, Vice President Enrollment Management.
- A fourth document, accessed by selecting the tab labeled CTE 26, is the CTE 26 Application for Preliminary Approval of Secondary Career-Technical Programs. The CTE 26 requires signatures and is submitted to the Ohio Department of Education. The 2011 – 2012 CTE 26 has the following changes:
- Some reformatting.
- Addition of check box to indicate if the program is new, transition to Tech Prep or renewal of existing Tech Prep.
- Addition of the new 2-digit program code.
- All drop down boxes have been updated where necessary.
- Additional lines to enter course codes.
- Separate Addendum required for Teaching Professions. (Send with CTE-26/POS)
- The due date is still June 1.
- Complete the secondary POS, obtain the necessary signatures, and send all three parts (completed Secondary PS, Postsecondary POS, and Assurance Page) with original signatures to the Tech Prep Office. We will obtain the signature of the College President and the North Coast Tech Prep Director will sign, as well. All three parts of the POS will be returned to you.
- Submit all parts of the POS to the Ohio Department of Education.
