Cuyahoga Community College Tech Prep Guide

The North Coast Tech Prep Consortium is a partnership linking business, industry and labor with secondary schools, Cuyahoga Community College, and other postsecondary education institutions. The mission of the Consortium is to combine college prep academics with career pathway preparation that will result in employment, a two-year certificate or Associate Degree, and/or a Baccalaureate Degree.

Tech Prep develops proficiency in science, technology, engineering and math. Tech Prep students earn college credit for coursework completed in high school.

After high school, students transition directly into a Cuyahoga Community College two-year Associate Degree program or other postsecondary education institutions.

Area business and industry representatives help to design and update this challenging curriculum to reflect real-world requirements in career pathways and specializations. In addition to these career pathway courses, Tech Prep students take college prep academic classes.

Area business, industry and labor also support the need for a 21st century workforce by providing internships, early placement, part-time or full-time summer employment.

Scholarships are available from the CCC Foundation.
